Testosterone cypionate dosage calculator.

Testosterone cypionate comes pre-mixed in oil at a fixed concentration, so there is no reconstitution. Enter the mg/mL printed on your vial and your target dose. You get the exact volume to draw in mL and the units on a U-100 syringe. No rounding, no account, and the full math is shown.

How the math works

Three steps, no hand-waving.

Reconstitution is simple arithmetic. The only thing that matters is that it is exact, and that you can see every step.

1 · Concentration

Read the mg/mL printed on the vial. Testosterone Cypionate is pre-mixed in oil, so there is no reconstitution. Example: 200 mg/mL.

2 · Draw volume

Target dose ÷ concentration = mL to draw. 100 mg ÷ 200 mg/mL = 0.5000 mL.

3 · Syringe units

Draw mL × 100 = units on a U-100 insulin syringe. 0.5000 mL = 50 units.

Background

What testosterone cypionate dosing is

Testosterone cypionate is a long-acting testosterone ester suspended in oil, FDA-approved as Depo-Testosterone for testosterone replacement therapy (a Schedule III prescription medication). Unlike lyophilized peptides, it is NOT reconstituted: the vial already holds a fixed concentration, commonly 100, 200, or 250 mg/mL, printed on the label. So the only math is your dose divided by that concentration to get the volume to draw. It is long-acting, with a half-life of roughly 8 days, which is why it is typically injected weekly or twice weekly. This calculator does that division exactly and shows the units on a U-100 syringe.

FAQ

Testosterone Cypionate dosage questions, answered.

How do you calculate a testosterone cypionate dose?

Divide your target dose in mg by the concentration printed on the vial (mg/mL) to get the volume to draw in mL. Multiply that volume by 100 for units on a U-100 insulin syringe. There is no bacteriostatic water step because the oil is already at a fixed concentration.

How many mL is 100 mg of testosterone cypionate?

It depends on your vial's concentration. At 200 mg/mL, 100 mg is 0.5000 mL, or 50 units on a U-100 syringe. At 100 mg/mL it is 1.0000 mL. Enter your own concentration above to see the exact draw.

What concentrations does testosterone cypionate come in?

Commonly 100, 200, or 250 mg/mL, printed on the vial label. The concentration changes how many mL a given mg dose works out to, which is exactly what this calculator solves.

Why is there no BAC water for testosterone cypionate?

Reconstitution (adding bacteriostatic water) only applies to lyophilized powders. Testosterone cypionate ships as an oil solution already at its final concentration, so you draw directly from the vial. The math is just dose divided by concentration.

What is the half-life of testosterone cypionate?

Roughly 8 days after intramuscular injection, which supports weekly or twice-weekly dosing schedules. This is background pharmacology, not a dosing recommendation.

Is testosterone cypionate FDA approved?

Yes. It is FDA-approved as Depo-Testosterone for testosterone replacement and is a Schedule III controlled substance available by prescription. This tool is dosing arithmetic only and is not a recommendation; follow your prescriber's instructions.

How is testosterone cypionate different from enanthate?

Both are testosterone esters in oil; cypionate has a slightly longer half-life (about 8 days) than enanthate (about 4 to 5 days). The draw math is identical: dose divided by the concentration on the vial.

Is this calculator exact?

Yes. It runs the division with no hidden rounding and shows the concentration and draw volume to four decimal places.

Is this medical advice?

No. This calculator performs arithmetic on the values you enter. It does not recommend a dose, schedule, or source. Follow the instructions from your prescriber or pharmacist.
