Sermorelin dosage calculator.

Reconstituting sermorelin? Enter the mg in the vial, the bacteriostatic water you add, and your target dose in micrograms. You get the exact concentration, the volume to draw in mL, and the units on a U-100 syringe. No rounding, no account, and the full math is shown every time.

How the math works

Three steps, no hand-waving.

Reconstitution is simple arithmetic. The only thing that matters is that it is exact, and that you can see every step.

1 · Concentration

Vial mg ÷ BAC water mL = mg/mL. A 5 mg vial in 2.5 mL of water is 2.0000 mg/mL.

2 · Draw volume

Target dose ÷ concentration = mL to draw. 300 mcg ÷ 2.0000 mg/mL = 0.1500 mL.

3 · Syringe units

Draw mL × 100 = units on a U-100 insulin syringe. 0.1500 mL = 15 units.

Background

What sermorelin reconstitution is

Sermorelin is a 29-amino-acid fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29). It was once FDA-approved under the brand Geref, both as a diagnostic agent for pituitary growth-hormone reserve testing and as a treatment for idiopathic growth hormone deficiency in children; the branded product was later discontinued for economic reasons, not safety ones. Supplied as a lyophilized powder, it is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before a dose can be drawn. Concentration is the mg in the vial divided by the mL of water you add. Sermorelin is short-acting (a half-life of roughly 10-20 minutes), so the dose math, not the timing, is what this calculator handles. Doses are usually in micrograms, so every decimal matters.

FAQ

Sermorelin reconstitution questions, answered.

How do you calculate a sermorelin dose?

Divide the mg of sermorelin in the vial by the mL of bacteriostatic water you add for the concentration in mg/mL. Convert your dose to mg (1000 mcg = 1 mg), divide by the concentration for the draw volume in mL, then multiply by 100 for units on a U-100 insulin syringe.

How much BAC water for a 5mg sermorelin vial?

There is no single correct amount. 2.5 mL gives 2 mg/mL; 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL. Enter the amount you plan to add and the calculator returns your exact draw volume and units for any target dose.

How many units is 300 mcg of sermorelin?

It depends on the concentration. At 2 mg/mL (a 5 mg vial in 2.5 mL), 300 mcg is 0.1500 mL, or 15 units on a U-100 syringe. Change any input above to see your own numbers.

Is sermorelin FDA approved?

Sermorelin was previously FDA-approved as Geref for both diagnostic use (pituitary GH reserve testing) and treatment of idiopathic growth hormone deficiency in children. The branded product was discontinued in 2008 for economic reasons, not safety ones. Compounded sermorelin is prescribed in some clinics today. This tool is arithmetic only and is not a recommendation to use it.

How is sermorelin different from CJC-1295?

Both are GHRH analogs, but CJC-1295 (especially with DAC) is engineered for a much longer half-life, while sermorelin is short-acting. The reconstitution math is identical; the difference is dosing frequency, which is a clinical decision.

Why is sermorelin dosed in micrograms?

Typical doses are in the hundreds of micrograms, well under a milligram. 1 mg equals 1000 mcg. The calculator converts your dose to mg before solving so you can enter either unit.

How should reconstituted sermorelin be stored?

Follow the storage guidance for your specific product. Reconstituted vials are generally refrigerated and used within a limited window. Regimio tracks a per-vial expiry countdown so you do not have to guess.

Is this calculator exact?

Yes. It runs the arithmetic with no hidden rounding and shows the concentration to four decimal places, so your draw volume and units are precise.

Is this medical advice?

No. This calculator performs arithmetic on the values you enter. It does not recommend a dose, schedule, or source. Confirm anything you do with a qualified provider.
